Congress began writing a bill Friday proposing the first lobbying reform law on Capitol Hill in decades. It's detailed. The bill is so long, congressmen think they can charge the paper industry ten million dollars just for introducing it.


Washington D.C.'s former mayor Marion Barry tested positive in a court-mandated cocaine test. He now serves on the City Council. Marion Barry's spent his entire career helping to cement the nation's capital's reputation as a work-free drug place.


Saddam Hussein's trial judge asked to be taken off the case last week. This reflects the religious uncertainty sweeping the people of Iraq today. They're not that convinced Jesus will come again and they're not that convinced Saddam won't.
