The West Wing star Stockard Channing was charged in Los
Angeles Court Monday with drunk driving. Her blood alcohol level
was double the limit. For four years she's played Martin Sheen's
wife and now she feels ready to play Martin Sheen's son.
Senator Hillary Clinton ripped President Bush in her speech
Tuesday for what she called shortchanging family planning. Is she
out of her mind? If she could plan as well as the Bush family can
plan, Roger Clinton would already be president.
President Bush asked Congress to fund strict border security
Monday but also asked for fewer border patrol agents. He's trying
a patient approach. Americans take a hard line on immigration
during the winter months when the lawns are dormant.
Variety ran an ad by actors demanding that Governor
Schwarzenegger grant driver's licenses to illegal aliens. It's a
plot. They think they can end his political career if they can get
him on camera telling Hispanics their papers are not in order.
Iraqi President Ayad Allawi urged his nation to shun
violence in the election Sunday. Candidates are staying off
television and avoiding speeches and keeping a low profile. A lot
of Americans are wishing we could adopt an Iraqi-style democracy.
The Pentagon was discovered Sunday to be running a secret
spy agency without Congressional knowledge or approval. They pull
secret raids in Iran and report only to Donald Rumsfeld. In the
final analysis, Richard Nixon could sure pick them.
